One Hard Thing:
The Misogi Workshop for Women
Who've Forgotten What They're Capable Of

Live Workshop: April 29th, 2025

Investment: $37 (includes workbook + Misogi planning template)

You've spent the first four months of 2025 learning about habits, change, and grit. Now it's time to put your money where your mouth is.

The Problem

Let's be honest about what's really going on.

You've been thinking about doing something hard for months. Maybe years. You've collected inspirational quotes, saved Instagram posts about other women doing incredible things, and told yourself "someday I'll…"

But someday keeps getting pushed to next week. Next month. Next year.

Not because you're lazy. Not because you don't care. But because you haven't made it real yet. You haven't chosen your thing. You haven't committed. You haven't put a stake in the ground and said "This. I'm doing THIS."

And without that one clear challenge? You stay stuck in the loop of good intentions that never quite materialize.

Here's what you know deep down: You need proof. Proof that you can still do hard things. Proof that you're not just fading into irrelevance. Proof that the woman you're becoming is stronger than the roles you've been playing.

That's what a Misogi gives you.

A woman with curly hair wearing a pink tank top stands outdoors during sunset, holding a large stick above her head with both hands, overlooking rolling hills and fields.

What the Hell is a Misogi?

A Misogi is one hard thing you do once a year that scares you a little, challenges you a lot, and gives you undeniable proof that you're capable of way more than you've been giving yourself credit for.

It comes from an ancient Japanese purification ritual, but we're not talking about standing under freezing waterfalls here (unless that's your jam—no judgment).

Your Misogi could be:

  • Running your first 5K (or half marathon, or full marathon)

  • Paying off a specific chunk of debt

  • Having that conversation you've been avoiding for three years

  • Learning to swim at 54

  • Launching the business you've been "planning" forever

  • Backpacking solo for a week

  • Performing standup comedy once

  • Getting your motorcycle license

It doesn't have to be Everest. It just has to be hard for you. Hard enough that you're not 100% sure you can do it. Hard enough that it requires you to become someone slightly different than who you are right now.

And here's the magic: When you reverse engineer one big challenge into daily habits and skills, everything else in your life gets easier.

Why This Matters for Midlife Women

You're in Fall. The season where all those roles you've been performing start to feel like costumes that don't fit anymore.

Your kids don't need you the same way. Your career might feel hollow. Your body is changing. The markers of identity you've relied on for decades are shifting under your feet.

And somewhere in all that transition, you stopped believing you were capable of hard things.

A Misogi gives you evidence that contradicts that story.

It's not about proving anything to anyone else. It's about proving to yourself that:

  • You can commit to something and follow through

  • You can train, prepare, and show up even when it's uncomfortable

  • You can become the kind of woman who does hard things

  • You're not done. You're not fading. You're just getting started.

By the end of 2026, when you look back at your Misogi, you won't just have completed a challenge. You'll have reclaimed your agency. And that changes everything.

Meet Your Guide

I'm Glenda, and I'm 55 years old. A year ago, I couldn't run 250 meters without wanting to die. This September, I'm running a full marathon at the same venue where I walked a half marathon last year.

That's my 2026 Misogi.

I've also been a therapist for the last decade, a death doula and grief counsellor before that, and I've spent the past year documenting my own messy middle journey of midlife transformation.

I know what it's like to look in the mirror and wonder who the hell that person is staring back. I know what it's like to feel stuck, invisible, and unsure if you're still capable of hard things.

And I know what it feels like on the other side of committing to something that scares you—when you realize you're so much stronger than you thought.

This workshop is me teaching you the exact framework I used to go from "I can't" to "I'm training for a marathon." Not because my Misogi is the right one for you, but because the method works for any hard thing.
